Heat generator CHG-1500 is designed as a direct replacement for gas and propane-butane burners in grain drying complexes. Switching to solid fuel allows farms to reduce the cost of grain drying by 3–5 times compared to gas, recouping the investment in just one or two seasons. The unit delivers 1500000 kcal/h of thermal power, providing a stable flow of hot air with a temperature of up to 135 °C under high pressure.
The hopper with a capacity of 550 kg ensures long-term autonomous operation without the constant involvement of an operator. If needed, the hopper can be additionally enlarged. Automatic fuel feeding by auger and the combustion control system maintain the set outlet temperature in 24/7 mode, which is critically important during the peak harvest period, when every hour of downtime means direct losses for the farm.
The unit is installed in conjunction with the existing graindryer without major infrastructure modifications. It is enough to remove the gas burner, connect the duct from the heat generator CHG-1500 — and the system is ready to operate on affordable and inexpensive local fuel: wood chips, pellets, sunflower husks, or grain waste.
The key component of the heat generator CHG-1500 is the combustion chamber with an arch made of heat-resistant AISI 310S stainless steel. This alloy withstands operating temperatures above 1000 °C without deformation or scale formation, which fundamentally distinguishes the design from analogues made of ordinary boiler steel. For a farming enterprise, this means many years of operation without replacing furnace elements and without unexpected repair costs in the middle of the season.
The airflow capacity 99000 m³/h at a maximum temperature of 135 °C is ensured by the carefully designed aerodynamics of the heat exchanger and a high-pressure axial fan. The design eliminates direct contact between combustion products and the heated air, so the outlet is a clean hot flow without soot or odor, safe for direct supply into the grain drying chamber.
Thanks to years of development and testing, we have also selected the ideal pipe configuration, which allows the heat generator to maintain a balance between performance and durability of the key heat exchanger components (such as pipe weld seams and the arch), the integrity of which may be compromised during long-term operation. During long-term operation of the heat generator (3-6 seasons), scheduled repairs of the pipes and additional reinforcement of the arch with heat-resistant concrete are carried out in the off-season, which extends the service life of the equipment up to 10 years.
